Obituary of Stella Strain

Stella Strain, age 84 of Carolina Beach, NC, died at her home on Sunday, December 8, 2013. Born in Plainfield, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Michilina Oszeyczik. She had resided North Plainfield for 30 years before moving to Tampa, FL and then to Carolina Beach, NC. Stella had worked in the Real Estate industry in Tampa, FL before retiring in North Carolina. She loved to tell jokes and make others laugh she really enjoyed her Carolina Beach community and they will miss her great sense of humor. Stella enjoyed the beach and taking long walks along the shore. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl. She is survived by her brother, Julian Oszeyczik of Piscataway, NJ; her sister, Katherine Pauline Hannagan of Whitehouse Station, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 9:30 - 10:30 AM with a service to be held at 10:30 AM at the Kearns Funeral Home Ltd, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888 Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, NJ In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made in Stella's memory to the Carolina Beach Police Department, 1121 North Lake Park Blvd., Carolina Beach, NC 28428.
