Obituary of Rebecca S. Ludlum

Rebecca S. Ludlum, age 100, of Whitehouse Station, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 3, 2014. Born in NYC, she lived in Linden as a child. She married the love of her life, William Donald Ludlum and moved to Cranford where she raised her family. She was a teacher in the Linden Public Schools for 40 years. Upon her retirement, she moved back to Linden for a short time and eventually moved to Whitehouse Station to be near her daughter and grandchildren. Besides her husband, Donald, she was predeceased by her parents, George and Theresa Surgens and her brothers, William and Russell. Rebecca is survived by her daughter, Barbara Pawlick and her husband, Edward W. of Whitehouse Station and her son, Richard Ludlum of Little Silver. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Edward R. Pawlick and Nancy Rosenblatt and her husband, Seth. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA.
