Obituary of Doris Blemings

Mrs. Doris Blemings, 77, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in NC. Mrs. Blemings was born in Plainfield, NJ, on March 19, 1936 to John and Doris Glasser. She was a graduate of North Plainfield High School and of Somerset Nursing School. She began her twenty-year nursing career at Somerset Hospital where she worked as an operating room nurse before her retirement in 1988. Mrs. Blemings loved golf and after her retirement she and her husband moved to Winston-Salem, NC. Mrs. Blemings is survived by her husband, William Blemings of the home; daughter, Lisa Labbe and her husband, David of Rochester, MA; son, Kenneth M. Reitz, Jr and his wife, Joann of Totowa, NJ; stepsons, Mark M. Blemings and his wife, Mary Ann of Langhorne, PA and Stephen Blemings and his wife, Teresa of Winston-Salem; as well as her four grandchildren, Christopher, Adam, Sean and Olivia and six step-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April, 21, 2014 at the Kearns Funeral Home 103 Old Highway 28 Whitehouse, NJ 08888. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery on Cokesbury Road in Lebanon. A repast will follow at the Stony Brook Grill in North Branch, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B.
