Obituary of Kathleen Talka
Kathleen Talka, age 61 of Gray, TN, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the Hunterdon Medical Center.
Born in Jersey City, NJ she was the daughter of the late Thomas Coughlan and Teresa Coughlan of Andover, NJ.
Kathleen had lived in Pittstown for 14 years before moving to Tennessee three months ago.
She had retired from her job as Project Manager of Data Processing for HSBC Bank in Bridgewater four years ago.
Kathleen was a loving mother who raised two wonderful children. She was a people person, making friends wherever she went. In her spare time she had volunteered at the local thrift shop in Clinton. Kathleen loved planting flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Joel Talka; her mother, Teresa Coughlan of Andover; her son, Steven Malenchak of New Brunswick; her daughter, Jessica Lamonica and her husband, David of Linden; her step-daughter, Kristin Talka and her husband, Sean Brix of Kingston, NY; her brother, David Coughlan and Elaine McDonnell of Cranford and her two sisters, Patricia Coughlan of Pompton Lakes and Linda Feeney and her husband, Jack of Andover. She is also survived by her two nephews, Patrick and Scott and her niece, Jillian.
A funeral liturgy will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale, NJ.
Friends and relatives may visit with the family on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 1:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home Ltd, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.
Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
