Obituary of John Leahy

John Leahy, age 67 of Holmdel, NJ, died in his home on Tuesday May 13, 2014. Born in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Susan Leahy. John married Marge Feliciano and raised 2 children in East Brunswick, NJ. He moved to Holmdel 11 years ago. John was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii during the Vietnam War. He was a Foreign Exchange Broker and had most recently worked for Lasser Marshall's in Manhattan. John was an active member of the Roman Catholic Church in Holmdel and enjoyed going to the gym regularly. John is survived by his son, Jay Leahy, and his wife Dawn of Clifton, NJ; his daughter, Kathy Prager, and her husband, Larry of Readington, NJ. He leaves behind his six cherished grandchildren: Daniel, Nicole, Isabella and Matthew Prager as well as Victoria and Tyler Leahy. Friends and relatives are invited to the Prager family home from 2:00 - 4:30 PM for refreshments and to share memories of John. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 16 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM with a service at 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28 Whitehouse, NJ 08888. Interment will be private.
