Obituary of Peter Hall

Peter W. Hall, age 74 of Basking Ridge, NJ died at his home peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2014. Born in Somerville and residing in Bound Brook until college, he was the son of the late Justice Frederick and Jane Hall. He and his family lived in Millington until 1984, and then resided in Basking Ridge for the next 30 years. He was a teacher at Ridge High School where he had also served as a coach and Athletic Director for 28 years. Peter was a two-time All-American baseball player at Rutgers University and played three years for the Yankees organization reaching AA in 1964. He was inducted into the Rutgers Olympic Hall of Fame, the NJSIAA Hall of Fame, the Bound Brook High School Hall of Fame, and the Ridge High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Peter made a difference in the lives of countless people during his life. He will be remembered and missed by all who knew and loved him. Peter was predeceased by his wife, Ann, in 2012. He is survived by his two sons, Alan Hall and his wife, Heather of Burke VA, and Ian Hall and his wife, Carrie, of Trumbull, CT. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren: Aidan, Padraig, Grace, Finn, and Jane. A memorial service will be held at the Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church, 45 Church Street, Liberty Corner, NJ 07938 on Friday, June 6th at 11:00 AM.
