Obituary of Elissa Pardee

Elissa Pardee completed her life's journey with dignity and comfort at home in Annandale with her family on August 4, 2014. The daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Kelsey from Passaic, she sang in the church choir with her father and enjoyed pleasure and success with both art and poetry. After graduation from Newark State College, she taught art in the Chatham township schools. After raising two children she was employed by the United States Golf Association until retirement. For three years in the seventies, she spent considerable time and energy caring for her son, Brook at home and in Boston before he died of cancer. Together with Roger, her husband of 56 years, she attended and supported Rutgers sporting events. She also enjoyed playing the piano and coming up with culinary delights for all. She leaves fond memories with Roger, her daughter, Whitney, Chase, her grandson, Kathy, her sister and a myriad of relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 2 Race Street, Pittstown, NJ 08867.
