Obituary of Richard R Hoffman
Richard R. Hoffman, age 94 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Somerset Medical Center.
Born in Bound Brook, Richard was the son of the late George and Nappie Hoffman.
He had lived in Bridgewater before moving to Whitehouse Station 11 years ago.
Richard had served in the Navy during WWII.
He was a builder, and as the owner of Hoffman Homes in Bridgewater, he built many homes in the Somerset County area.
Richard had traveled to over 250 different cities/countries throughout the world. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rose in April of 2014 and his brothers, John and George and his sister, Margaret Citrenbaum.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Hoffman of Middletown, his two sisters, Gladys Leoniy of Edison and Patricia Buhl of Maryland, his many nieces, nephews and close friends and his cat, Arrow.
A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station at 9:30 AM.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, August 27 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.
Burial will be in Bound Brook Cemetery.
