Obituary of Alexander W Murawski
Alexander W Murawski, age 83 of Whitehouse Station, NJ died Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Paul and Helen Murawski.
Alex had lived in Old Bridge for 42 years before moving to Whitehouse Station six years ago.
He was a proud veteran, serving in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He worked in automotive repair for Brogan Cadillac in Clifton before his retirement.
Alex devoutly attended Sunday mass at of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station where he was a member. He enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. He was a master at fixing things and could always be found tinkering around the house.
Alex was predeceased by his wife, Irene in 2007 as well as four brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his two sons, Alexander and his wife, Lynn of Hamilton and Kevin and his wife, Nancy of Kunkletown, PA; his daughter, Jackie Pena and her husband, Carlo of Whitehouse Station and his brother, Peter Murawski of Floral Park, NY. He is also survived by two grandsons, Jesse and Brett and one great grandson, Anthony.
A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 23 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be Tuesday in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown at 1:30 PM.
