Obituary of Marion Kornguth

Marion Kornguth, age 86 of Whitehouse Station, died Friday, November 28, 2014 at Rolling Hills Care Center in Clinton Township. Born in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Retter. She had lived in Union for 49 years before moving to Whitehouse Station in 1990. Marion graduated from Mountainside School of Nursing in 1949 and worked as a supervisor for Irvington General Hospital. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Marion was a great lover of animals and was a very big advocate for the humane society. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Springer and her husband, Bob of Chatham, NJ; her sister, Elsie Layritz of Union, NJ, and her grandson, Austin Springer. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.
