Obituary of Antoinette (Toni) Rascio
Antoinette (Toni) Rascio of Whitehouse Station, NJ, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with Multiple System Atrophy. She was 72 years young.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on September 9, 1942, she was a longtime resident of Whitehouse Station. She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Josephine (Adamo) Mormando.
She was an award winning Real Estate agent realtor for Coldwell Banker in Pluckemin, NJ. for 36 years. Prior to that, she was a high school science teacher in Brooklyn, NY and an author.
Toni cherished the many friendships she developed over the years including those at Coldwell Banker, The Notables Singing Group, and through her travels abroad. Most recently, she appreciated the love and friendships she had with the staff and residents at the Hunterdon Care Center.
Above all she loved life and her family. She will always be remembered for the big parties she hosted during the holidays, birthdays and other special occasions.
She was the beloved mother of Alissa Taylor and her husband Chris of Doylestown, PA, Lawrence and his wife Susan of Far Hills, NJ; and Alexis Finkel and her husband, David of New York, NY. She is also survived by her sister, Fannie Raimondo and her husband, George of Darien, CT, her brother, Joseph Mormando of Brooklyn, NY; and six much loved grandchildren, Patrick, Alexander, Meredith, Samantha, Jared, and Avery.
A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. James Church in Basking Ridge.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway28, Whitehouse.
