Obituary of Sophie A Puzio

Sophie A. Puzio, age 89 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Independence Manor in Raritan Twp., NJ. A lifelong resident of Whitehouse Station, NJ, Sophie was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Cap) Borys. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, a member of the Polish American Citizens Club, and the Readington Senior Citizens Club all in Whitehouse Station. Sophie took pleasure in both vegetable and floral gardening and she and her late husband, Walter loved to dance. She also enjoyed helping Walter in managing their local home building business. Her greatest pleasure was her family and especially her grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband, Sophie was predeceased by her brother, John Borys and her sisters; Julia Lukstat, Jean Harabin, Helen Majewski, Viola Sdebel, Lily Mnich, Josephine Stankiewicz, and her sister-in-law, Mary Kruczek. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Wolenski and her husband, Joseph of Whitehouse Station and her son, Walter Puzio, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Saylorsburg, PA. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Matthew and Alexander Wolenski and Victoria and Christopher Puzio, her sister-in-law, Janet Borys, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, February 2, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater.
