Obituary of Irena Nowakowski

Irena Nowakowski, age 77 of Whitehouse Station, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. Born in Wilno, Lithuania she was the daughter of the late Wladyslaw and Stefania Taraszkiewicz. She had resided in Whitehouse Station for the past 12 years. Irena was on tour in the United States with the Mazowsze Ballet Company when she met her beloved husband of 51 years, Joseph. Ballet was always her passion and she loved animals and reading good literature. Irena was most content when she was spending time with her cherished grandchildren. She was a faithful member of The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA. Along with her husband, she is survived by her son, George and his wife, Beverly of Bridgewater; her brother, Zdzislaw Taraszkiewicz of Newark and her three grandchildren, Anika, James and Christina Nowakowski. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, May 3 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral Home. A funeral liturgy will be held on Monday, May 4 at 12:00 PM in the Chapel at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA Burial will follow.
