THANK YOU SO MUCH for reaching out to me and lenttig me know we have something in common even though it is painful. Sometimes you just need to know that someone else understands what you are feeling and all the emotions. My dad was only 59 years young which is way too early to leave this place. But I will do everything in my power to keep his memory alive. I will be reading your blog daily as well. Please do keep in touch with me.

Way too soon.
Sheesh. I've been meaning to make it into a Pelican to see this guy for the last two years or so -- to thank him for taking me in for something like 6 seasons as staff.
From the holiday basement lunches, to summer nights accidentally driving the fork truck into the basement door, and Brother's Pizza, I can honestly say a lot of my memories of growing up and becoming an adult involve Brett and his family.
Thank you Spilatros, and very sorry for your loss.

Brett was a fun and hospitable person whenever I went to his house for parties. I remember us having a few nice conversations about snowboarding and he showed me his fishing gear & told me about the fish he caught, which he was so proud of. I was shocked to hear of his sudden passing and my deepest condolences go out to his family & friends. He will live on in everyone who love & remember him forever.

I will never forget you waking up at 3am for the low tide. You would get up every night at low tide just to dig that sunken boat out of the river. I remember waking up snd seeing you out in the river at dawn finishing up your work for the day. It took you all summer, but You were so determined to get that thing out! Then u built a beautiful dock and made furniture out of the antique sunken boat. You were so incredibly handy, and creative too.
