Born in Somerville, NJ, he was the son of Gerald and Karen Spilatro. He lived in Bridgewater before moving to East Brunswick 18 years ago. He was a former manager of the Pelican Ski and Pool Store in East Brunswick. Brett then started his own pool service company called Aqua Pro. Brett was an outdoorsman, spending many hours snowboarding, fishing, boating, kite boarding and playing tennis and golf. He worked on pools, boats, cars and houses, and was gifted with the ability to fix anything. He was known as the "master of repair." Brett was predeceased by his mother, Karen Spilatro and his maternal grandfather, Pete Peterson. He is survived by his father, Gerald Spilatro, his brother, Jerry Spilatro, and his two sisters, Brooke and Stacey Spilatro, all from East Brunswick. He is also survived by his paternal grandfather, Angelo Spilatro, his paternal grandmother, Doris Spilatro and his maternal grandmother, Ann Peterson. A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Rockaway Reformed Church, 115 Main Street, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889. Friends and relatives may visit with the family on Monday, November 26, 2012 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888. Burial will be in Newell Cemetery, Stanton, NJ.
