Obituary of Alfred Kolodzinski

Alfred Kolodzinski, age 88 of Limeerick, PA, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Sanatoga Center in Pottstown, PA. Born in Somerville, NJ, he was the son of the late Stanley and Mary Kolodzinski. Having lived all his life in Whitehouse, he moved to Limerick, PA sixteen years ago. He was in the Marine Corps and proudly served his country during World War II. After returning from the war, he worked on various construction jobs in Florida. It was during this time that he married his wife, Dolores. He then returned home and co-founded the company Koko-Kolo Builders, Inc. with Edward Kokosinski. He served as president of the company which can be credited with many of the homes and developments built throughout the state of New Jersey. Alfred was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta in Schwenksville, PA and a past member of the Polish American Citizen's Club in Whitehouse Station. He was an avid reader of military history and loved sports trivia. He kept up with the news of his hometown by maintaining his subscription to the Hunterdon Democrat. Alfred was predeceased by his brother, Marcel and his wife, Dolores in 1997. He is survived by his son, Alan Kolodzinski of Bloomsbury, NJ; his sister-in-law, Helen Kolodzinski; his nieces, Lynn Perlin, Gail Pifer, Carol Schultz, Diane Kolodzinski and Cynthia Kolodzinski and his nephew, Richard Kolodzinski. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, January 7, 2013 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.
