Dear Mark....I met your mother once in 1975....You asked me over for a party to celebrate your birthday....A lovely woman answered the door and invited me in....She made me feel at home and was sweet as can be....After we had cake she said that we should take a walk outside...I remember pretty flowers and the house & yard made me feel as if I had stepped back in time....I would drive by once in awhile over the years and wondered if your family still owned the house....It has been a life time since I last saw you and I wonder if you even remember me....I just wanted to let you know my memory, as brief as it was, because for whatever reason it had a lasting impression...Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother.

I also remember Aunt Irene working in her rose garden when we walked home from school. And she always had a cheerful “Hi” for us.
I’m sorry I won’t be able to attend the funeral but you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
