Obituary of Catherine McGowan Yoskowitz

Catherine McGowan Yoskowitz, age 58 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, NJ. Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Mary McGowan. Cathy lived in Hillsborough before moving to Whitehouse Station 17 years ago. She was a speech pathologist for 35 years and worked for the Bethlehem Township School District in Asbury, NJ. She was an active member of the NJ Speech and Hearing Association. Cathy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Robert and her daughter, Molly. She is also survived by her three brothers, Michael McGowan of Oak Park, IL, Thomas McGowan of Pacific Palisades, CA, and Dennis McGowan of Toms River, NJ; and her sister, Julia Stewart of Howell, NJ. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 9:30AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. Burial will be in St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall Township. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the American Cancer Society.
