Helen and Frank were very special. Frank came to my mom and dad's wedding at St. Anthony's Church in Jersey City in 1947, my baptism in Chicago at St. Pancratius. They visited with their children in Chicago and Bristol, Wisconsin. They both came to my graduation and wedding. I treasured their company in person, on the telephone and in letters and greeting cards over the decades. Helen was always a bright, compassionate, compromising, humorous, insightful and wonderful person to talk with. She deeply loved Poland which she visited twice with her husband on work assignments. She was well aware and informed of current events and history. Her joyful voice and presence will be sorely missed because she and Frank embodied the best of the Polish American culture and their sole focus of "God, country, family and honor." Helen and Frank were very dedicated to their parish. Frank served in the US Army. And both lived a life surrounded by immediate and extended family.

Helen was a true lady in every sense of the word. She was kind, loving, generous, helpful, dedicated, and classy.
Her well fought fight is over,
Her faith sincerely intact,
Her crown gracefully earned.
May the pain of her loss be replaced with memories of her spirit.
So very sorry.

I am deeply sorry on the passing of Helen. She was a warm, lovely woman. My husband used to call her his Bread Lady. He would stop into her store after work, and come home with warm bread, and said he had a nice conversation with Helen. My thought are with all of her family. Know that she was loved by many people.Sincerely Julie
