Obituary of Helen E Omilian

Helen E. Omilian, age 84 of Whitehouse Station, died peacefully at home on Saturday, October 31, 2015. Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Ida Ksiazek, and sister of Deceased Eva Saja. While living in Jersey City she worked as a hair stylist and met her late husband Frank Omilian Jr. They started a family of three children and moved to Whitehouse Station in 1968. A longtime resident of Whitehouse Station, she was a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church where she taught religious education for over 20 years. She was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and served as a Trustee to the church. Helen was also a dedicated member of the Polish American Citizens Club. She was an amazing cook and shared her talent with the community for several years when she was an owner of the Whitehouse Deli. She was a true gentle lady and will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing and loving her. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank in 2012. She is survived by her son Francis Omilian III and his wife Bonnie, her daughter Patricia Hoffman and her husband Fred, her son Michael and his wife Diane, her brother-in-law Edward Omilian and his wife Brenda; her seven grandchildren Nicole, Fred, Frank, Travis, Kirsten, Michael, and Mary; her seven great grandchildren Grace, Julieanna, Elizabeth, Fred, Alicia, Marek, and Jana. She is also survived by her great niece and nephew, Jennifer and Jason. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 4:00PM to 8:00 PM at Kearns Funeral Home in Whitehouse, NJ. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Following will be entombment at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Annandale.
