Obituary of Kathleen H Steele

Kathleen Higgins Steele, age 77, wife of Walter Steele passed away at their home in Bethlehem Township on November 1, 2015 following many years of a pulmonary disorder. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Leslie and her husband, Tom Finnegan of Bethlehem Township, by daughter, Allison Steele of Branchburg and by son, Walter (Tad) Steele of San Francisco and by grandchildren, Liam & Emma Finnegan of Bethlehem Township. Kathy is also survived by brother-in-law, Richard and wife, Mary Jo Steele of Old Greenwich, CT by brother, John and wife, Marnie of Frankenmuth, MI and by brother, James and wife, Sally of Saratoga, NY and their families. Her parents, James and Frances Doyle Higgins of Greenwich, CT and brother, Peter Higgins of Panama City, FL predeceased her. Kathy was an excellent cook and enjoyed planning and preparing meals, especially large family holiday dinners. She was an avid reader frequently visiting libraries and bookstores. Her sparkling personality and sincere interest in others resulted in her making lasting friendships wherever she went. The Beneficial Corporation was the company from which Kathy retired as Administrator of the office of the Senior V.P. of Finance. On Tuesday, November 10th a memorial service and celebration of Kathy’s life will be held at 10:00 AM at The Farmhouse of the Grand Colonial at 86 Route 173, Hampton, NJ one mile west of Exit 12 from 78. A donation in Kathy’s name to a charity of your choice is preferred to flowers. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ
