Obituary of Carol D. Masek

Carol D. Masek, age 76 of Asbury, NJ, died Saturday, November 28, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Elizabeth DiTrocchio. She lived in Lebanon for 37 years before moving to Asbury. Carol taught in the Clinton Township School System for 30 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She belonged to the Woman’s Club of Clinton, Retired Teachers Association and the Union and Clinton Township Seniors. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert who died in 2002 and her brother, Anthony DiTrocchio. Carol is survived by her two daughters, Donna Grade and her husband, Keith of Somerville and Melinda Masek and her husband, Maurizio Popolla of Asbury. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Connor and Campbell Grade and Brielle and Fabiana Popolla and her sister-in-law, Sally Bonomo and nephew, Anthony DiTrocchio. She will truly be missed by her family and large circle of friends. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 9:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
