Obituary of Lawrence A. Mancuso
Lawrence A. Mancuso, age 61, of Nutley, NJ, died Friday, December 11, 2015.
Born in Orange, NJ, he was the son of the late Benjamin P. and Rose (Campisi) Mancuso of Mountainside, NJ. Larry grew up and lived in South Orange before moving to Beach Haven West where he lived for 30 years then Irvington for 8 years before finally moving to Nutley a year ago.
He was a self-employed builder and a building inspector for many years in Stafford Township. Larry was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in South Orange. He was always volunteering his time for the Church’s food bank and other Church programs to help those in need. He was a member of the Elks in South Orange. He ran marathons down the shore and was a steward at Kean College.
Besides his father, Larry was predeceased by his sister, Carol Mancuso Lew, who died in 2006.
He is survived by his mother, Rose Mancuso, his brother, Anthony J. Mancuso and his wife, Lisa of Springfield,NJ, his sister, Maria Acken and her husband, Leonard of Whitehouse and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
