Obituary of Jean D Koval

Jean D. Koval, 85 of Schnecksville, PA (Formerly of Whitehouse Station) died Christmas night, Friday, December 25, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem, PA. Jean was born on October 5, 1930, and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jean and her loving husband, Harry, of 56 yrs., lived in North Plainfield for over 25 years and Whitehouse Station for another 15 years. After the passing of Harry in 2011, Jean moved in with her youngest daughter Jeannine, Son-In Law George and two Granddaughters Courtney and Rachel in Schnecksville, PA. Harry and Jean were faithful Catholics and active participants of the church (Our Lady of Lourdes in Whitehouse Station). Besides being married to her beloved husband, Jean’s true passion was her love of her children, in-laws and grandchildren. Jean also loved to cook for the family and was especially known for her baking recipes, including cookies and homemade candies. Jean was loved by many and will sadly be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Jean is survived by her five children, Mark Koval and his wife, Nancy; Sandra Mastroianni and her husband, Michael; William Koval and his wife, Lisa; Donna Savino and Bill; Jeannine Dunne and her husband, George; Jean is also survived by her ten grandchildren and 4 (fiancés), Stacy Basara and (Jesse), Jason Basara, Brian Koval and (Ruth), Jamie Mastroianni and (Brett), Lauren Koval, Christina Savino and (Joe), Marisa Savino, Danielle Mastroianni, Courtney and Rachel Dunne; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. Entombment will be in Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge, NJ Jean’s family requests donations to be made to St. Luke’s Hospice House, 2455 Black River Road in Bethlehem, PA 18015.
