Obituary of Marie A. Laurent

Marie A. Laurent, age 90 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the Chelsea Assisted Living facility in Bridgewater. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Winifred Noonan. Marie lived in Leonia, NJ, Martinsville, NJ, and Fallbrook, CA, before moving to Whitehouse Station 12 years ago. Marie worked in the advertising department for the Pittsburgh Press, the Bergen Record and then the Courier News for 13 years before retiring in 1986. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Laurent who died in 2015. Marie is survived by her sons, Robert L. Laurent, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen; Jeffrey Laurent and his wife, Diane both of Martinsville, NJ; and her 3 daughters, Maureen Refsnider and her husband, Ron of Coon Rapids, MN; Diane Perry and her husband, William of Jefferson Township, PA; and Michele Amorese and her husband, Michael of Bridgewater, NJ. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. Entombment will be held in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Bridgewater.
