Obituary of Eugene Francis Kilcommons

Eugene Francis Kilcommons, age 83, of Annandale, NJ, died at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 31, 2016. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Thomas and Margaret Kilcommons. Eugene grew up in South Orange, and raised his family in Westfield from 1962 to 2000. He moved to Annandale 15 years ago. Eugene was honored to serve in the Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was the recipient of the Marine Corps’ Good Conduct Certificate and attained the rank of sergeant. Eugene was assigned to duty with the VMF-115 and VMJ-1 Squadrons. For 44 years, he worked as an electrical mechanic for United Airlines and was a dedicated union member. Eugene’s grandchildren were his pride and joy and he spent countless hours attending their various school and sports activities. He valued all animals but was especially fond of his grand dogs and cats. He was a devoted Yankees and Giants fan. Eugene was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jeanette, in 2008. He is survived by his two sons, Kevin and his wife Janet of Clinton Twp., and Theodore of Brooklyn, NY; his two daughters, Corinne and her husband, Skip Kelleher of Holliston, MA, and Sharon Ruvane and her husband, John, of Mendham; his sister, Maureen Carolan of Rockaway; and his six grandchildren, Claire and Grace Kilcommons, Patrick, Catherine and Bridget Ruvane, and Brayden Kelleher. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Three Bridges, NJ. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Friday, February 5, 2016, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway, Whitehouse, NJ 08889.
