Obituary of Walter Zur

Walter Zur, age 67 of Flemington, NJ, died Friday, February 12, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Regensburg, Germany, he was the son of the late Basil and Maria (Dolinsky) Zur. Walter came to the United States when he was 2 years old and settled in Kansas. He had previously lived in Parlin before moving to Flemington in 1977. He served during the Vietnam War in the Army and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in South River. Walter was a graphic designer for AT&T last working in Morristown, NJ before his retirement in 2012. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Valerie (Lazzarotti) Zur, his sons, Keith and Scott and his daughter, Renee and his 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Corinne. He is also survived by his brother, Michael and sister, Anna Christiano. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
