Obituary of Marie Valdez

Marie Valdez, age 86 of Bridgewater, NJ, died Monday, April 11, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Raffaela Blotto. Marie relished the time she lived in Palm Harbor, FL but more recently she had lived in Langhorne PA before moving to Bridgewater 2 ½ years ago. She worked as a land adjuster for NY State before her retirement. She delighted in the outdoors, beautiful flowers and gardening. In their younger years, she and her late husband, Roy (2014) greatly enjoyed traveling. She absolutely loved to cook and she lived for time spent with her precious grandchildren. Marie is survived by her two sons, George and his wife, Amy of Whitehouse Station, and John of Huntington; her four grandchildren, Kristen, Christopher, Vinny and Emily, and her sister, Frances McKay of LI, NY; A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Bernard’s Church in Bridgewater. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ Burial will follow the service in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
