Remembering a dear lady who served her country well.
I am honored to have had an acquaintance with Mrs. Hoffman. When I organized the dedication ceremony for a veterans monument at Kingwood Township School, we were grateful to have Mrs. Hoffman (and Ruth Lincoln) among our speakers and veterans. Over the years I chatted with her at the Flemington ShopRite as she proudly stood with a bunch of poppies and accepted donations for them. I am in awe of all her accomplishments and her service to military and local groups. Rest in peace dear Mrs. Hoffman. You will be remembered.
With deepest condolences to her dear family,
Ruth Rozansky

...we (Mabel Kaufman [a fellow WAC and Penn-Jersey 74 member], and I) have been looking to locate Anna for months now and I sadly learned today (Thursday, May 12; in The Democrat obits) of Anna's passing. Such a staunch and stellar leader for all, especially for women's veterans' rights...she was a driving force and gave so much of herself to fellow WACs; her community; her Country! She was truly the head of the Penn-Jersey Chapter 74 -- and although commanding, had a very warm and kind heart. My Mom, Gerry Anderson Person, was also a fellow Women's Army Corps member and was in the Penn-Jersey Chapter 74, and had always said how much Anna gave of herself to fight and promote women veterans -- those ladies, especially from the World War II era, were indeed very strong and special people! I'm so sorry for the family's loss -- and the Country's loss! May she rest in Peace...

My buddy, the woman considered The Woman Veteran of NJ. She was always ready to stand for women veterans and their needs. I will miss her and her wisdom. We often listened to her stories of World War II and her assignments. She was truly a force for women veterans. I learned so much from her and I will truly miss her
Please accept my condolences and my prayers

I am so sorry to hear about Anna's passing. Jim Conway and I enjoyed the few times we were able to have her ride with us in our Jeep in the Readington Twp. Parades. She will be missed.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why Anna left this earth so soon or why she left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that she died, but that she lived. And that Anna's life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
