Obituary of Anna M Hoffman

Anna M. Hoffman, a WWII veteran and 70-year resident of Readington Twp., died peacefully Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the age of 96. Born in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Margaret Blankemeyer. Anna was especially proud to be a veteran of the Women’s Army Corps. Throughout her lifetime, she volunteered countless hours and served on numerous committees regarding veterans affairs. She was also very active in her community; participating in many programs and clubs, including but not limited to: Meals on Wheels, Girl Scouts, Our Lady of Lourdes, Readington Township Starfish, HCRHS PTA and East Whitehouse Fire Company Auxiliary. For a full listing of all Anna’s contributions to her community and country, please see below. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter in 2002 and her son, Walter B. in 2014. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Petrovich; her six grandchildren, Christopher Stahl III, Jenna Stahl, Jessica Stahl, Leslie Stahl, Amy Jo Larry, Lynn Ann Hoffman and six great grandchildren. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 10 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station. Repass to follow. Burial will be private.
