Obituary of Kathleen G. Tinbergen

Kathleen G. Tinbergen, age 91 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died peacefully on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ. Born in Knoxville, TN, she was a self proclaimed southern lady. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Emma George. Kathy had lived in North Plainfield before moving to Whitehouse Station in 1967. She was a member of both the Whitehouse United Methodist Church and Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Kathy was also a member of the Readington Seniors and volunteered at Somerset Medical Center. She also had extreme affection for all animals, large and small. She was predeceased by her husband, William Tinbergen and her son, Alfred L. Buckner. Kathy is survived by her daughter-in-law, Ursula Buckner and her two grandchildren, Alfie Buckner and Karen Buckner Ruhling and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by her many friends who loved and cared for her. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Rural Hill Cemetery, Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
