Obituary of Loretta A. Nehlsen

Loretta A. Nehlsen, age 78 of Belvidere, NJ, died on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Brakeley Park Center in Phillipsburg, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Antoinette DeMarco. She lived in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn for most of her life before moving to Belvidere twelve years ago. Loretta was a sales assistant for Smith Barney in New York for ten years before retiring. While living in Brooklyn she was a member of St. Guadalupe Church. She was a very artistic person who enjoyed doing crafts and had a knack for interior decorating. She loved her family, the Mets, cooking, watching QVC and game shows. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Nehlsen who died in 2006, her son, Anthony Nehlsen and brother, Francis DeMarco. Loretta is survived by her two sons, Michael and his wife Kerri, of Annandale, Douglas and his wife Debbie, of Long Hill and her three grandchildren, Anthony, Samantha and Taylor. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Annandale. Entombment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum, Annandale.
