Obituary of Dorothy C Treney

Dorothy C. Treney, age 88 of Basking Ridge, NJ, died Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge. Born in Orange, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Callander. She lived in Berkley Heights before moving to Fellowship Village ten years ago. After graduating from Brown University, Dorothy went to work at the American Embassy in Paris. She later worked as a French teacher at New Providence High and then Watchung Hills Regional High School. She enjoyed playing bridge and loved to travel and was fortunate to take trips to places throughout the world. Dorothy is survived by her three sons, John and his wife, Sue of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Charles and his wife, Peggy of Clearwater, FL and Thomas and his wife, Sherry of Whitehouse Station. She is also survived by her brother, Jack Callander of Vermont and her four beloved grandchildren. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a service being held at 7:00. Inurnment will be private.
