Obituary of Michael J. Zondorak
Michael J. Zondorak, age 98 of Muncy, PA., passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ.
Born in Lopez, PA, he was the son of the late Stephen and the Anna Zondorak. Mike lived in Pennsylvania most of his life.
He began serving his Country as a teenager in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He continued that service as a machine gunner, Army Veteran of WWII, stationed in Pearl Harbor.
He was an electrician, employed by Sprout Waldron in Muncy, PA. Mike was also a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Muncy. His true passion was finding trash and making it into treasure. He refurbished anything he found, creating beautiful antiques that became his pride and joy.
Mike was predeceased by his wife, Anne Zondorak who died in 2004, his son, Daryl Zondorak and his grandson, Frankie Randazzo.
He is survived by his daughters, Shirley and her husband, Vincent Tabatneck of Ledgewood, NJ and Joann Zondorak of Fredericksburg, IA, his son, Stephen Zondorak of Dover, NJ, his 3 grandchildren, Suzanne Gibbs, Stephanie Anne Fox and Eileen Petruch and his 3 step grandchildren, Peter and Jimmy Tabatneck and Christina Coleman and 18 great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 61 Main Street, Flanders, NJ 07836.
