Obituary of Clara R Burns
Clara R. Burns, age 77 of Whitehouse Station, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital in Allentown, PA.
Born in Bayonne, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Ruth Czlapinski.
Clara grew up in Bayonne before moving to Readington Twp. nearly 50 years ago.
She was the head of the Readington Township Schools Cafeterias for many years and was the owner of Eveready Caterers for a period of time.
Clara was a former member of the Polish American Club in Whitehouse Station. She enjoyed reading, cooking and working in her rose garden but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
She was predeceased in 2000 by her husband, the love of her life, Francis.
She was a loving mother and grandmother to, JoEllen Omdal of High Bridge, Francis Burns and his wife, Lorna of Honesdale, PA, Hope Fischetti and her husband, Fred of High Bridge, Emily Voigt and her husband, Albert of Sailorsburg, PA, Gail Schiller and her husband, Bill of Madison Twp., PA, Vincent Burns and his wife, Heather of Lebanon, Penny Burns-Carns and her husband, Allen of Washington Twp., her 21 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Joanne Wells of Port St. Lucy, FL.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28 2017 at 12 noon at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 127 Broad Street, Washington NJ 07882.
