Obituary of Carole R. Castine

Carole R. Castine, age 72 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ. Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Marie (Moschel) Loehr. Carole lived in Jersey City before moving to Whitehouse Station in 1993. She worked as an accountant for the Hudson County Police Department for 19 years. Carole was a former communicant of Our Lady of Victories Church in Jersey City and a current parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. She also belonged to the Readington Seniors. Carole is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Castine; her daughter, Mary Beth Openshaw and her husband, Michael of Rutherford, NJ and her 2 grandchildren, Jessica and Caragh Openshaw. She is also survived by her sister, Joanne Casserly and her husband Charles of Belmar, NJ. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station.
