Obituary of Donna Bancala

Donna Bancala, age 57 of Whitehouse Station, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 13, 2017.

Born in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of Anthony (Tony) and Florence (Flo) Bancala of Ocean Twp., NJ.

Donna had lived in Scotch Plains before moving to Readington Twp. more than 23 years ago.

She worked for Manpower Professional as a Senior Director of Recruiting.

Donna was a kind and generous friend who could be counted on to help whenever needed.  She loved a good book and enjoyed discussing them with the members of her book club.  For over 20 years she played Bunco with a group of very dear friends.  She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend and she will be forever missed by those who knew and loved her.

Along with her parents, Donna is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Randy Gurney; her children, Brittany Gurney of Manhattan, NY and Brandon Gurney at home; her brother, Anthony Bancala and his wife, Jayme of Middletown, NJ and her sister, Diane Clemens and her husband, Scott of Telford, PA.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Readington Reformed Church, 124 Readington Road, Readington, NJ  08870.
