Obituary of Joan A Staples

Joan A Staples, age 92 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Monday, September 23, 2013 at Compassionate Care Hospice, in Dover. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Alice Sloan. Joan had lived in NY until 1973 when she moved to Somerville and then Bedminster before moving to Whitehouse Station 11 years ago. She was an Executive Secretary for New York Telephone Company for many years. Joan was a great lover of dogs. As a result, donations may be made in her memory to Shetland Sheepdog Placement Services of NJ, 370 Union Ave., Bridgewater, NJ 08807 Burial will be private.
