Obituary of Marguerite Fardelmann
Marguerite J. Fardelmann “Midge”, age 92 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died peacefully at Hunterdon Hills in Glen Gardner on Saturday, June 8, 2019.
Born in Passaic, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Emilie Jensen.
Midge had lived at Lake Shawnee in Jefferson Twp. for 31 years before relocating to Waterville Valley, NH for 12 years and then Readington Twp. in 1996.
She was a member of the Whitehouse United Methodist Church in Whitehouse where she had served as a former treasurer of the church.
Midge worked for about 10 years as a salesperson and buyer for Epstein’s Department store in Morristown. She also devoted herself to the Waterville Valley Library during her time in NH where she served as a librarian. She was a lover of good books, greatly valued education and was fortunate to have traveled throughout the US and throughout Europe and Russia. She had an adventurous spirit and she loved the outdoors, cross country skiing, camping, hiking and the beach.
She was predeceased in 1998 by her beloved husband, John. She was also predeceased by her two sisters, Alfreda Henrichs and Gertrude Goerner.
She is survived by her two children, Judy Rischawy and her husband Pete of Readington Twp, and John W. Fardelmann and his wife, Karen of Lake Tahoe, CA. She is also survived by three grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888
Friends may visit prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00
A private family burial will follow in Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jason P. Schaible Memorial Fund at 54 Norma Road, Hampton, NJ 08827. The fund offers non-medical support for families that have children with pediatric cancer.
