Obituary of Donald Dixon Strunk

Donald Dixon Strunk, age 69 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, NJ.

Born in Fleming Neon, Kentucky he was the son of the late Lloyd and Pearl Strunk. Donnie lived in Elizabeth, NJ before moving to Whitehouse Station 15 years ago.

Donnie served in the United States Marine Corps from 1969 to 1972. He worked for Delta Airlines for 30 years, retiring as the Supervisor of the Crown Room.  Donnie was a proud supporter of the ASPCA and a true animal lover.  He loved his garden and visiting different farm stands in the surrounding area.  He enjoyed life and loved spending time with his family and his dogs. 

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his two brothers, Ronnie and Lloyd Strunk and his sister, Linda Farese. 

Donnie is survived by his wife, Lucy (Loureiro) Strunk, his three loving sons, Donald Randall Strunk, Randall Lloyd Strunk, and Steven Donald Strunk and his wife, Chloe.  He is also survived by his wonderful six grandchildren, Lucas, Madison, Jackson, Justin, Connor and Payton, his special two great nieces, Carolina Loureiro and Savannah Loureiro and his great nephew, Nicolas Loureiro Vazquez. 

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station.
