When I see the picture of Uncle Andy, it reminds me so much of my mother.
I have good memories of when I was young and spending time with Uncle Andy and my cousins. I know Kathleen and his immediate family will miss him very much. Everyone learned from him and they will continue to pass this knowledge on.
Our sympathy to the family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Kathleen and all family and friends.
Angelo was a very kind and respectful person. I'll always remember the first time we met and we all went out to dinner. Angelo included me as if family from the start. We spoke of all things Italian including music and, of course, food.
May you rest in peace and comfort Angelo.

Dad taught all his children to play tennis. We would go to indoor courts on Sunday take lessons and play games.great fun. Have business lunches then play tennis.Dad hurt his arm once and learned to play left handed. Dad first ski run was at Pocono manner he loved it and next year he started the ski business. Some of his business sayings. Do it like Macys. You can’t sell from an empty wagon. Paper is stronger then your memory. Dad had all employees use a want card. Dad built all his own houses starting in Green Brook then Martinsville that was a beautiful home with a indoor pool. Too much fun in that house. Then he built a beautiful home for Kathleen. It was very unique.the house looks like a Hansel and Greatle home in the Swiss Alps. Dad taught us real estate. He would buy small older homes clean them up rent them and resell. Thanks to dad we all have a great foundation. And all his children are successful.

Whenever we hear this song, We will think of you.
My Way by Frank Sinatra
And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I've traveled each and every highway
But more, much more than this
I did it my way
Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more. much more than this
I did it my way
Yes, There were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way
I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amazing
To think I did all that
And may I say-not in a shy way
Oh no, oh no, not me
I did it my way
For what is a man, what has he got
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows i took the blows
And did it my way
Yes, it was my way

I will really miss him coming into the office and calling me Queenie. Thank you for hiring me 40 years ago and teaching me everything about this crazy business and making my family part of your family. You will be in my heart forever. I am hoping there is a lot of wine in heaven.

So thankful God gave me Angelo for my dad. When we had a snowstorm and school was cancelled, dad would take me skiing. One time he spent several nights making an ice skating rink in my backyard. He skated on it with his hockey
skates and I had a skating party inviting my friends from school. We had an indoor swimming pool which he built, canapy beds and my own bathroom in my bedroom. We had a drinking fountain in our home, how cool is that? My dad wrote me letters in college and drove me to Immaculata High School on his way to work so I didn't have to wait for the bus. We went to church every Sunday and used to get glazed donuts from the bakery on our way home. We had spagetti every Saturday and steak every Sunday. We worked together and played together. We all went sledding at Greenbrook park and ice skating at Watchung Lake. Having a Nursery School in my house was sooo much fun, a rabbit coup in the backyard and a rope swing. So many great memories. Best dad ever!

Angelo was an amazing man that I am proud to call my father in law. I will cherish all the times we spent together. He led a very successful life. He gave me the greatest gift... that is my husband. Andrew would not be the man he is today without Angelo's wisdom and success and for that I thank him. We will miss you. Love your daughter in law Carrie Spilatro

My heart goes out to Angelo's family and the Pelican employees. You can only lose so greatly when you have loved so greatly, and I know that is something Spilatros do well. I don't remember ever meeting Angelo, but I know that with a patriarch as determined, loving, and hardworking as he was I have seen glimpses of him in Steve, Cherie, Casey, Viola, and anyone who knew him. Remember him well, his love is still with you.

Angelo’s Example has taught me so much. To hear his Perspectives on Life and Business and to see The Fruit of that in Everyday Life was a Great Blessing. I remember all the fun times as kids at Pocono Manor, learning to ski and dressing fancy for New Years, and always eating good with lots of garlic..:). Being active and healthy was so important. And then, getting older I could ask him anything. I’ll never forget after going out west by myself for awhile, I came home and Angelo met me for lunch. We talked about God and choices in life. He said years ago he would lay in bed at night and God would give him ideas for his business and things to do the next day. He knew God just kept giving him great ideas. And he said how you should always think good things about other people. Don’t let bad thoughts about others take a place in your mind. That things won’t always be easy, but God helps you. He said so many things over the years I’ll never forget. Angelo always had a Smile on his face. Happy to see you. And had a Great Sense Of Humor! I still help customers at Pelican that ask about him and played tennis with him. They always say he was the sweetest man! ...Love you Grandpa Angelo♥️ Thanks for singing to us

Angelo was truly one of a kind. With the biggest heart a man could have. I remember when I was just a teenager cashiering him coming into the store and asking me questions “you smoke cigarettes?” “You get in any trouble?” And after I answered he would slip me money and tell me “save it, don’t spend it” I’m truly grateful for everything Angelo and the whole Spilatro family has done for myself and my family. Without you all our lives would look very different. I’ll miss his smile and those cash slips. Love you Angelo. Rest In Peace. You were and are the luckiest man in the world.
