Obituary of Clarence F. Hackman

Clarence F. Hackman, age 84 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at home.

Clarence was the loving husband to Cookie for 63 years, a loving father to Skip, Donna, Jeff, and Bridget, dear father-in-law to Rich, Erin, and Harry and amazing grandfather to Taylor, Dakota, Sam, Ally, Hannah, Emma, Zack, Jessie, Bella, Ben, Harry, Meagan and Kayla.

Clarence was born in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Russell and the late Anna (Hayes) Hackman.   He lived in Flemington and Three Bridges before moving to Whitehouse Station in 1960.

He was a fellow Fire Fighter to all and a proud member of the Whitehouse Fire Company.  Joining in 1962 he served as Chief for three years and Treasurer for 21 years.  From 1972-1973 he received the distinguished Fireman of the Year award.   

Clarence was a Purchasing Agent, employed by Elling Brothers for 35 years.  He was a plumber by trade yet could make or fix anything!

A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 9:30AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station.

Friends may visit with the family Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Church.

There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater.
