Obituary of Kim R. Rice

Kim Ray Rice, 67, of Whitehouse, passed away on December 9, 2013 at home, following a long illness. He was the son of the late Ralph and Norma Rice. Kim grew up in Clark, NJ and graduated from Arthur L. Johnson High School and Midwestern College in Iowa. He was employed for many years by Muhlenberg Hospital in the Environmental Services Department. Kim was an enthusiast of camping, bird watching and photography, especially enjoying hawks, eagles and owls. He enjoyed all sports, especially golf. He was an active member of the Oldwick and East Whitehouse Volunteer Fire Companies for over 20 years. Kim is survived by his wife, Julie; sisters, Lynn Lowrey and family, and Debbie Rice; sons, Drew and his wife, Sarah and family, and Sean and his wife, Amy and grandchildren, Christopher and Erica. A viewing will be held Thursday, December 12th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rural Hill Cemetery, Whitehouse. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Raptor Trust, 1390 White Bridge Rd. Millington, NJ.
