Obituary of Bucky Hayes
Howard W. Hayes “Bucky” of Whitehouse Station died peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington.
Born in New Brunswick he was the son of the late Howard and Mabel Ann Hayes.
Bucky had been a resident of Hunterdon County his whole life.
He worked for the Readington Road Department for 25 years, retiring at the age of 67.
Bucky was an avid Mets fan; he enjoyed watching NASCAR, tractor pulling and all kinds of Rodeo competitions especially bull riding.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lorraine, his two sons, Ronald Hayes and his wife, Kelly of Port Murray and Jeffery Hayes of Tewksbury; by his step-son, Ken Schaefer and his wife, Katie of Manville; by his step-daughter, Katherine Chiappetta and her husband, John of Whitehouse Station and by his sister, Mabel Ann Schmidt and her husband, Hubert of Tennessee. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren.
A service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.
Friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 10:00 to 1:00 PM.
Burial will be in the New Germantown Cemetery in Oldwick.
