Obituary of Joyce Bradley
Marie Joyce Bradley, fondly known as "Joyce," of Whitehouse Station, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Hunterdon Medical Center at 79 years of age. Born in Somerville, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Tacak.
Joyce grew up in Manville before moving to Whitehouse Station in 1966. After graduating Manville High Schoolshe set forth to study Journalism. Her knack for adventure and willingness to help people led her to become a real estate agent and work for Census.
She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. An avid animal lover, she had many beloved dogs and cats. Some of her hobbies included crafts, gardening and cooking. She loved and appreciated nature in the flower patches that were ever flowing around her home and the garden beds which always held fresh veggies. She enjoyed traveling and especially loved spending time at the beaches of Seaside Heights and Cape May. Despite her travels to many other places, she always found her way back to her favorite second home in upstate New York where she enjoyed boating, snowmobiling and spending time with her family.
Joyce constantly had a book at her side and Bruce Springsteen on the radio, only until Christmas time when she traded Bruce in for the classics from Johnny Mathis, Bing Crosby, Trans-Siberian Orchestra and more all while making her homemade gingerbread houses with her family. Forever loved and forever missed, her family will cherish the memories of her jumping on the trampoline, playing ball in the backyard, wandering in the creek for crayfish and fossil rocks and her love of roller coasters and taking the family to Great Adventure. Her children will gladly tell you about her yearly happy birthday telegrams.... at the "exact" time (or so she believed) of their births so long ago... and so much more.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles, and her sister, Patty.
She is survived by her two sons, Charles of Whitehouse Station, Greg and wife Mary of Holland Township; her two daughters, Stacey and husband Todd Conklin of Holland Township, Kara and husband Bob Blair of Whitehouse Station. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren Ryan, Melissa, Katie, Kyle, Trevor, Matthew, and Seth; Six great-grandchildren - Kali and Case, Aeris, Ellie, Hudson, and Bentley; as well as her brother, Mike Tacak.
Due to the recent world events a Celebration of Her Life will be held at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, Joyce would be most honored by memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society at https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate.html.
