Obituary of Shirley C DeFillipo

Shirley Louise DeFillipo (Cris), age 93 of Whitehouse Station NJ, died Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Bridgeway Care Center in Bridgewater, NJ.

Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Christianson.

Shirley lived in North Plainfield and then Warren before moving to Whitehouse Station in 2000.

She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station.  Shirley was an avid ballroom dancer, a passion she shared with her husband of 72 years, Anthony (Flip).  She was devoted to her family and loved every minute spent with her grandchildren.  She was their biggest fan at every sporting event and never missed one dance recital. 

She is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony, her son, Thomas of Lawrenceville, NJ, her two daughters, Sharon Ruggerio and her husband, Gene of Las Vegas, NV and Merilee Schneider and her husband, Paul of Hampton, NJ, her sister, Joan Christianson of NY as well as seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

All services will be private.
