Obituary of Adele Calio

Adele Calio, age 99, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Foothill Acres Nursing Home in Hillsborough.

 

Born in Whitehouse, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Stone.

 

Adele lived in Whitehouse her entire life.  She married her beloved husband, Ben in 1942 and they were together for 25 years before he passed away in 1968.   A loving mother, she was devoted to her family and was a lifelong member of the Whitehouse United Methodist Church.

 

Along with her parents and husband, Adele was predeceased by her son, Wayne Calio in 2000, her three sisters, Irene Moulton, Hazel Schwarz and Doris Balecki and her niece, Marcia Russo Baunach.

 

She is survived by her loving daughter, Marilyn Calio and her husband, John Fitzgerald of Hillsborough, her sister, Marian Esposito of Whitehouse and several nieces and nephews:  Marlene Lambert and her husband, Jeffery of Ringoes, Judy Fleischer and her husband, Steve of Tewkesbury, Linda Rule and her partner, Jim Thompson of Whitehouse Station, John Latourette and his wife, Audrey of Cherry Hill, Donna Fracaroli of Bridgewater, Anthony Fracaroli and his wife, Brenda of Tarrytown, NY, and Linda Balecki Fritz of Annandale.

 

Due to gathering restrictions there will be a private graveside service at Rural Hill Cemetery on Thursday, May 7, 2020.

 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made through IN MEMORY OF at www.inmemof.org/adele-calio for the benefit of the Alzheimer’s Association or the Whitehouse United Methodist Church.
