Obituary of Lore Schlesinger
Lore Schlesinger, age 84 of Whitehouse Station, passed peacefully at her home on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.
Born in Klettwitz and raised in Ludwigsburg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Antonie Herberholz.
Lore emigrated from Germany to the United States in 1958, where she settled in White Plains, New York before moving to New Jersey. She moved to Whitehouse in 1990 and worked as an Executive Administrator for Hoechst Celanese in Bridgewater, NJ.
Lore had a vibrant, caring and big personality. Her smile and wit could make anyone laugh. She loved reading, tennis, gardening, flowers, and had a strong love of animals. She also enjoyed traveling and learning. Lore spoke five languages and travelled many places worldwide where she enjoyed learning about different cultures and topics of interest.
Lore was also a prolific letter writer, often sending her musings of funny situations, her observations about world events or just a simple hello. She lived her life proactively, and enjoyed her time spent with friends and family. She was very human, very present and very authentic.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Schlesinger of Chicago, IL; her daughter Cassia Schlesinger DeFrank and her husband Edward of Branchville, NJ and her grandchildren, Kayla and Anthony DeFrank and Pierce and Tia Schlesinger.
She enjoyed life and will be very missed by her family and many friends.
