Obituary of Margaret D DeRossett

Margaret D. DeRossett “Peggy”,  age 69 of Readington Township, NJ died Monday, August 17, 2020 at Morristown Medical Center.

 

Born in Passaic, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Carroll. 

 

Peggy was a resident of Readington Township for 40 years.

 

She worked as a Systems Analyst for AT&T and then Bell Corp. in Piscataway.

 

She was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and served as a coordinator for the Shepherd’s Meal.  She had a naturally generous spirit, was giving and kind, and had a heart of gold.  Peggy volunteered for a number of years with Hunterdon Medical Center’s Lights of Love. She enjoyed both discussing and attending the theatre and she passionately loved her cats.  She will be tremendously missed by her family and friends as well as the community. 

 

She is survived by her devoted husband of  38 years, Terry and by many loving friends.

 

A funeral liturgy will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station.  Please note: If you would like to attend the funeral mass a reservation must be obtained by visiting the church home page at www.ollwhs.org

 

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.

 

Burial will be private.

 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 390 County Road 523, Whitehouse Station, NJ  08889, for the benefit of the Shepherd’s Meal.
