Erin was a beloved sister, but also my friend. We could be fighting one minute (as siblings do) then do something together the next. We could never stay mad at one another. We never forgot to say "I love you" to one another. She passed while we were in the midst of planning our annual trip to Cape May for Victorian Weekend. Despite her ailments, she was a fighter and didn't want her physical limitations to stop her from living her life. Erin was very independent and never wanted to be a burden on anyone. I don't think that she truly understood that she was NO burden at all. Erin was godmother to my daughter Katie. They were very close and had a special relationship, texting and calling each other often.
